Who am I? I’m still figuring that one out, but as for what I do, first and foremost, I’m a father to two great kids and husband to my wonderful wife. I spent much of my adult life in the U.S. Air Force on active duty. After retiring from the military, I founded the Perennial Leader Project to dedicate my efforts to searching for and spreading wisdom for modern life. I enjoy exploring the intersection of wisdom traditions and hope to publish my first book in the coming year.
AREAS OF INTEREST & EXPERTISE
“Those who love wisdom must investigate many things.”
Hail to Heraclitus! For some strange reason, I have been gnawed at by the question of how one can change their life. This question naturally brought to the wisdom of the Greek philosopher Heraclitus (c. 535 – c. 475 BC), by way of this quote, “No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river, and he’s not the same man.” Although little is known of his life, his ideas significantly influenced the Stoics and live on today.
