MAKING MEANING IN SPITE OF ABSURDITY AND EVIL

SHARON LEBELL

ABOUT THE EVENT

If we keep up with world events, it is difficult to avoid despair or nihilism. There is so much work that needs doing to repair our world. Lest we lose heart, it is important to remember that happiness is not always possible, but meaning abides. By accessing meaning we change ourselves for the better and thereby elevate the world.

HOSTED BY

SHARON LEBELL

Community-building and shared learning experiences are at the heart of our work as public philosophers. In The Walled Garden, I love bringing people together with the common aim of learning, growing, and communal meaning-making.
