WHAT IS PHILOSOPHICAL MENTORING?

EDUCATION

Education is the beginning of one's path toward the examined life. As such, your mentor will help you to begin or continue your philosophical education by suggesting relevant resources and teaching you important principles in your sessions together.

GUIDANCE

As you and your mentor build rapport, you may wish to ask for their guidance regarding various aspects of your life. Your mentor will consider the context and circumstances of your life and offer discerned guidance that will aid you as you make complex decisions.

CHALLENGE

In order to grow, one must be challenged optimally. Your mentor will offer regular challenges/exercises that will open your mind and strengthen you as an individual on the philosophical path.

ENCOURAGEMENT

Our mentors are here to help you to walk confidently toward a rich and meaningful life. They'll encourage you as you make vital and complex life changes, and they'll offer you a hand to hold as you explore your own individual nature and potential.

MEET YOUR MENTOR

Philosophy calls us to live with intention and to dedicate ourselves to the task of healing our souls.  As a philosophical mentor, it’s my honour to build meaningful relationships with seekers from around the globe. In our sessions together, I help my mentees to formulate a clear and powerful vision for their lives, and then I serve as a trusted guide as they make progress toward the actualization of these most cherished ideals.

LET’S WORK TOGETHER

I’m looking forward to meeting you! This initial consultation will be a chance for us to get to know each other better, and I’ll also be able to answer any questions you have about philosophical mentoring. In the meantime, here are a few commonly asked questions:

What will happen in our initial consultation?

Our initial consultation will be a chance for me to get to know you better and for you to ask any questions that you have about the philosophical mentoring service or my work and/or mentoring style.

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely! When you select a time on the schedule, simply click "Add Guests" and add the email address of any friends, colleagues or family members whom you'd like to join you on the call.

What are the nexts steps if I decided to proceed?

If you decide to continue with philosophical mentoring, we'll decide on a regular time and get our first sessions booked on the calendar. Between our initial consultation and our first mentoring session, a team member in The Walled Garden will reach out to you with our standard mentoring agreement along with an invoice for our first sessions. Once the agreement has been signed by both parties and the invoice has been paid, we're all set!

How long does a mentoring session last?

Each session runs for between 60 and 90 minutes. I usually schedule my clients for 90-minute blocks to allow for greater flexibility in our sessions.

How much does each session cost?

My current rate for a 90-minute mentoring session is $100 USD. Having said this, I want to make it clear that I am always open to negotiating with my clients so that I can meet their needs. Please do not let the cost dissuade you from reaching out for an initial consultation; the service I provide is more important than the financial reimbursement I receive.

Where are mentoring sessions held?

I offer mentoring sessions either online via Zoom or in person at the Villa Del Sol in Fullerton, California. I am generally open to travelling throughout Southern California to meet clients, though extra fees for fuel/travel may be required.
