Oh mountain,
you please my soul greatly.
Oh wildflowers of the rocky mountain edges,
you awaken my eyes from their deepest slumber.
Oh snail on the rock,
you have taught me to have patience on my own path.
Oh towering mountain tree,
great wisdom is yours.
Oh mountain peak,
you introduce me to the heavens,
and you summon a great and holy communion.
Oh setting sun,
you remind me of the golden fields that wait for me
beyond the distant hills.
Oh sacred mountain,
we may at times lose sight of your beauty,
but you will never cease to be beautiful.

Devotional poetry is so honest, no such offering to the great secret ever lacking in that which matters most in the end: vulnerability, wherein lies the most incredible of all human beauty.
