Ladders in the Sky

Ladders in the sky,
Who taught you to climb
To the heavens above us
That we too may find
That glorious vision—
That splendour Divine?
Ladders of the sky,
Who taught you to climb?

Waves of this ocean,
Who brought you to me?
How far have you travelled
That I too may see
That a man need not hurry
To sooner be free?
Waves of this ocean,
Who brought you to me?

Wind passing softly,
From whence have you come?
And where will you go
Once with me you are done?
And what will you leave me
As proof of our fun?
Wind passing softly,
From whence have you come?

Sun breaking through,
How bright will you burn,
That all may have vision,
And that all may soon learn
Of the trials before us
And our blessings, in turn?
Sun breaking through,
How bright will you burn?

Lead me now on
O’er this Golden Way,
In my darkest night
And my brightest day,
That I may soon burn
As I dance and play.
Lead me now on
O’er this Golden Way.

Let me choose life
Over sin and death,
Proof of my Choice
From my first-born breath,
That I might be Whole,
And ne’er from Thee cleft.
Let me choose life
Over sin and death.

Enter now with me,
All ye who have known
These heavenly Gardens
That I’ve often roamed,
And tarry here with me,
Watch the seeds as they grow!
Enter now with me,
All ye who have known.

See More with The Poet & The Sage

All of my writings, explorations, music, and poetry compliment each other, and as such, it is highly recommended that the reader/listener engage first with my foundational works: Pairidaēza Suite and The Poet & The Sage. The hardcover version of The Poet & The Sage offers an excellent window into my mind and soul, and will enable a much richer experience for those who engage with all of my future works.
