THE DARKNESS AND LIGHT OF FYODOR DOSTOEVSKY

BRANDON TUMBLIN

THURSDAY, JULY 14, 3 PM (PT)

ABOUT THE EVENT

Fyodor Dostoevsky wrote several masterpieces, including Crime and Punishment, The Brother’s Karamazov, and Notes From Underground. Due to a mock assassination, Dostoevsky suffered brain trauma which allowed him to delve deep (and dark) into his characters. He addresses the balance between faith and reason, the darkest sides of human psychology, and unforgivable sins. Join me and other Walled Garden contributors in a discussion around the vital importance of Dostoevsky’s writings in our times.
