Seekers of Light

I’d like to know
How my ancestors felt
When they roamed ‘neath the
Light of the stars,

I’d like to know of the
Gods that they found
In Mercury, Venus, and Mars.x

I’d like to seek out
The light that they saw
Shining bright up above
In the sky;

I’d like to feel all the
Joy that they felt
As they sojourned with gods
From on high.

I’d like to wander
The vast fertile plains,
And to walk o’er the
Distant hills;

I’d like to play
In the gardens above
And to see what my Father
Fulfils.

I’d like to seek the light
As they did.

I’d like to feel the rhythm
As they did.

I’d like to sing the melody
As they did.
