SIMON J. E. DREW

Poet | Musician | Philosopher

Simon is an Australian poet, musician and philosopher now based in Orange County, California. He is widely known as a populariser of the Stoic school of philosophy, though toward the beginning of 2020, Simon was led to explore his artistic and mystical nature. What ensued is captured most beautifully in the co-founding of The Walled Garden Philosophical Society, and even more so within the works featured in The Sanctuary Grove.

The musician, like the poet, looks within and without, and tells the story of what he sees. The musician, like the seer, reveals unto the masses the secrets which were once hidden. The musician, like the philosopher, discovers the commonalities which flow through all things, and sees to it that these commonalities are not lost. The musician, like the explorer, journeys beyond the safety of the garden walls, later to return with bounty to share with those who inhabit the garden....
Night after night, I came to you in prayer, Begging that you might give unto me A poem, or an insight, or a wise whisper. Night after night, You guided me, And you gave me what I asked for, Even though I knew in my heart of hearts That you had already given me all I needed....
I am the eye that looks out on THE ONE....
