15. Beyond the Distant Hills
- The Poet visited the Seer in the early hours of the morning, and he spake unto her, saying, “Great Seer, thou hath seen well, and heard well, and felt well, and thou knoweth truth. Thus I now share with thee the heights and depths of my soul, even that thou might lead the people of this village when I have fulfilled my preordained duty to the Whole, even to THE ONE.
- Lo, Great Seer, there is a place where I go, far beyond the distant hills, and ne’er have I met another soul there. There is a mountain at the centre, and upon that mountain grows an ancient Tree, the fruit of which has nourished my soul.
- In the early morning I am warmed by the Sun that rises above the golden sea of clouds that surround this mountain peak.
- At midday I rest beneath the shade of the Tree’s branches, which spread far into the infinite plains of eternity.
- At dusk I climb upon these branches, for here I find respite from the terrors of the night that looms, and I am held and nurtured by the roots that grow deep into the mountain below.
- Through the darkest hours of night I direct my fervent attention to the stars above, tracking their every movement, finding traces of the Logos, even of the way, and even of THE ONE.
- Great Seer, I have sat upon this mountain many days and many nights, and many things which were once hidden have been revealed unto me. The Sun has paved the path before me, and I havewalked upon this path; I have entered the Kingdom of Heaven, and I have walked with God in the Garden that abounds.
- The Sage has poured divine Wisdom into my heart, and THE ONE has delivered holy revelations through my quill. And now I ask thee, Great Seer: wilt thou take these revelations which were revealed unto me by the THE ONE, and wilt thou sow them upon fertile ground, even that a great harvest might become of them? Wilt thou keep them safe, and wilt thou reveal them to those who are strong in spirit, and to those who seek righteousness above all else? For that which is revealed therein must be delivered as on the wings of a dove, and to those who would receive such a gift. Wilt thou bear witness to that which is revealed, even that I may fulfil my own task that is assigned to me by THE ONE?”
- “Great Poet, surely thou hath seen well, and heard well, and felt well, and the truth of THE ONE has resounded throughout thy being. Great is my joy, for my service to thee is surely a service to THE ONE.
- I shall do as thou hath asked, and once thou hath fulfilled thine own divine calling, I will share these revelations with those who would receive them.
- Blessed thou art, Great Poet, for on this holy night thou hath resurrected the Logos, even the divine Wisdom that exists in and of THE ONE.”
