THE SPIRIT OF THE AGE

I. An Age of Mourning

Mourn, ye professors, for ye have lost thy way, and ye have fallen into the den of lions, and there await the lions you raised, and even the ones ye fed from your own storehouse.

Mourn, ye who are poor in spirit, for ye have nought but to drown when the floods arrive. And they will arrive.

Mourn, ye leaders, for ye do not see where it is that you lead, nor do you know the wolves that lurk there, nor the dragons.

Mourn, ye preachers, for ye have spoken many words, but ye have said nothing, for ye have felt nothing, and ye have seen nothing, and ye have heard nothing, and therefore ye have not known the Sage in your hearts, and nor have ye feared God.

Mourn, ye politicians, for ye have been corrupted by thy pride, and ye have succumbed to tyranny, and to folly, and you now appear naked before your people, for ye have been exposed, even by that which I have sent against thee, and even that which was thy greatest treasure.

Mourn, ye false prophets, for your judgement cometh swiftly, and with great power and authority, for I shall make thee known, and I shall snatch thee up, even as…

A wedge-tailed eagle snatches her pray
In the cruel fires of summer,
‘Neath the harsh light of day.

Mourn, ye musicians and singers, for ye have wandered from thy source, and so you play not the rhythm of all things, and nor do the singers sing the song of eternity, for they do not hear what they play, nor what they sing.

Mourn, ye who have squandered your inheritance, for ye shall return to thy Father with broken hearts, and ye shall be full of shame, and so shall ye repent.

Mourn, ye mockers, for such is the way of fools, and the foolish do not see, and so they will be the first to wander off the straight and narrow path, where death lies waiting.

Mourn, ye who have not the spoils of the earth, for they who have will be thy masters. Serve them well.

Mourn, ye who have, for ye will be the first branches to be cut from the Tree in times of growth and renewal.

Mourn, ye who have not the sense to make sacrifice when in lands not of thy father, for a traveler and stranger fares poorly when he disrespects the customs of a foreign people.

Mourn, ye who hath hid thy light within thee, and which I gave to thee, for now I shall put it out, lest thou seek first the Kingdom of Heaven.

Mourn, ye who have sought to deceive thy fellow brethren, for it is ye who has been deceived, and it is I who have deceived thee.

Mourn, ye who have defiled what is sacred, and what is holy, for thou art as a rotted branch on the Tree, and ye shall be cast into the fire by the Caretaker of the Garden.

II. An Age of Rejoicing

Rejoice, all ye who have held fast to righteousness, for ye shall be blessed in the final days, and I shall give thee favour.

Rejoice, ye who are rich in gifts of the spirit, for ye shall be nurtured in My Garden, and ye shall become as the rugged mountain wildflowers that grow in great abundance upon the high mountains of the West, and within the low valleys of the East.

Rejoice, ye who have the right mind to wait in faith for the right moment to be free.

Rejoice, ye who have one eye of an eagle, and another of a snake, for ye shall see many things, and many mysteries will be revealed to thee.

Rejoice, ye who have stood in the high watchtowers, and who have seen the coming of the Lord, for ye shall be granted time to set thine affairs in order.

Rejoice, ye whose roots are held within a firm foundation, for ye shall not be shaken when all the world crumbles around thee, and when I blow my powerful winds throughout the Garden.

Rejoice, ye seekers of light, for ye shall be shined upon, and ye shall reflect this light, which is the light of the Burning Sage.

Rejoice, ye who have sought Wisdom, for it shall be give to thee in great abundance.

Rejoice, ye who know what is sacred, and ye who participate in that which is holy, for ye shall be called the Saints.

Rejoice, ye who have sought redemption, for it will be given unto thee.

Rejoice, ye who have walked along the path of Alignment, for ye have arrived at thy destination.
